Somewhat bland and many dishes taste similar. The other Japanese places are better. Noisy.

Found plastic from the plastic wrap in our sushi roll and the establishment didn't offer any alternatives to rectify this issue. Granted it was "minor" but we also had small children with us. Pricing was above the quality and the interior itself left something to be desired for update/cleanliness/attention.

Just fabulous! The tempura shrimp amazing as well as the teriyaki chicken with vegetables and rice.

Good food, the girls were nice. Customer service and time Management of when and how the food comes out needs work. We literally were missing 2 rolls our last roll came out so late and we were done.

We live out of town and went on the recommendation of a friend. The food was good and our server was awesome. However, they do not over all you can eat sushi, the prices were higher than what we are used to paying and the AC was barely running. We left feeling that we should have just gone to our regular spot back home.

We ordered baked lobster, caterpillar roll, tempura roll, beef teriyaki, miso soup, and edamame; EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT! The only item I did not care for was the fried rice, I think it might just have had a pinch too much of green onions for my liking. The service was worth the bill and the tip, we will definitely revisit this restaurant.

Best Sushi Restaurant in Kern County Hands Down! Great service, and wonderful hospitality. Get invirorment to either dine in. Weather being on a date or just with a few pales getting a cold one enjoying the fish of the sea.

Good food. Very SLOW service. Make sure you have a lot of time on your hands because it's gonna take awhile.

I don't know how he does it, but that short Mexican making sushi is amazing. 100% recommended the seaweed salad.

Luckily we went in early bc it became very packed quickly around 5:30 (on a Saturday). Prices seemed pretty high, but the sushi was good at least, so it's worth it when sushi options are limited in a small town. For example, $9 (IIRC) for a standard Philly roll is pricey. But again, we really enjoyed the food! Fish was fresh and three rolls with soup and salad was a filling dinner for two adults. The service was quick and friendly. There are separate men's and ladies rooms (not so common here). Decor/ambiance is nothing fancy so if you're looking for date night, dim lit, etc this isn't the right choice. But for a yummy sushi treat, I recommend it.

Very surprised by this quality sushi in tehachapi! Oh my, what I have been missing out on all this time! Not only was the taste fabulous, but it was chilled just right, which I can sometimes be a little picky about. Also, don’t skip the edamame! Top notch!

Food was delicious. It was very busy and it appeared they had a lot of to go orders. Our food came out very quickly for the most part, rolls were fast the other items like teriyaki chicken and beef bowls took awhile longer which was a little frustrating. Once our food had all arrived we didn't really see much of our waitress. I know they were busy so it was understandable. Overall very positive experience and we will definitely be back!

This is by far my favorite sushi restaurant in Tehachapi. I tried all of them several times and Kasagiri blows the rest of them out of the water. I won’t even bother going anywhere else anymore. So far I have tried the lobster roll (expensive but my favorite!), dragon roll, rainbow roll, baked philly, killer philly, and spider roll and they were all amazing. I also really enjoyed the deep fried soft shell crab appetizer. The salad that comes with meals is really good and comes covered in crab! Highly recommended if you are looking for a good sushi joint! I am very picky when it comes to sushi... Well I am very picky when it comes to food period, but I love this place. Its got that comfortable home feeling. The service is amazing. The food is delivered in a timely manner and warm/hot. The food is soo delicious!!! The price is fair... The only negative is that they are not open all day everyday. But in a way its also good because when you do go, its not overwhelmkngly busy so that you can actually get a table right away. I always recommend to others when the discussion of sushi comes up. Plus they take phone orders for pick up.

Yes. Believe it or not there is amazing sushi in Tehachapi. Great service too. Order the garlic sauteed edamame.

Food is yummy. Prices went up this late summer. Normal dinner for 2 at $55-60 if you have an appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 soft drinks. Service so-so. Little gal ran fast, because she couldn't recall -table not set (need plates please), extra salad dressing(ordered with initial order), appetizer was served after salad/soup. Never got the lemon wedges, never asked us about dessert. Great entrees, clean & tidy. Screaming toddler was another disappointment. I guess we need to stick to midday weekdays..... dining with the masses - not such fun. I gave the owner these same service notes on a reversed placemat as we left.

I agree with another reviewer, this is the best food in town. Lunch or dinner... if you have one choice to make this is it. The food tastes great, the portions are large and the service is really good.

The food was very good, but it took about a hour to get take out (I don't know if that was normal or unusual). The rolls had plenty of fish and the lunch special was a good deal.

we love this place, In my opinion the sushi is better than other places in town and is a good cost. Also like the atmosphere. Food is always fresh and served in a timely matter. Definitely my favorite place to eat out at in Tehachapi.

If you haven't had the Chicken and Avocado Moray bowl, I don't know what you're waiting for! It's the best!

This is just about the best sushi to be found anywhere. Personal faves: salmon skin, baked scallop, Baja roll. I eat here every time I am in town. Huge selection and the fish is fresh!

The Miso soup was excellent. The staff was friendly and quick to respond!

The food looked thrown together, the quality of fish was not that good. I realize this place has been there for a very long time but perhaps it needs abit of an overhaul? Staff was friendly, pleasant and treated us nicely. I would still consider going back. But i will stay away from fish, if i do.
